He Tryna Ignore It Meme
He Tryna Ignore It is the white dog sitting with its eyes closed while a fire flares up right next to it, captioned "he tryna ignore it." Use this template to label your own fire and download the meme.
What does the He Tryna Ignore It meme mean?
The joke is willful ignorance. The fire is something you don't want to deal with — a bill, a messy room, a scary email — and the dog is you, eyes closed, hoping it goes away. It's close to This Is Fine, but the dog isn't claiming everything is okay; he's just refusing to look. The caption "he tryna ignore it" is usually kept, with a label added for the fire or a line on top setting up the problem.
Where is the He Tryna Ignore It meme from?
The image comes from a short video of a white dog sitting calmly with its eyes shut while flames rise from a stove nearby as someone cooks. Know Your Meme found the earliest caption-free copy on Instagram on December 10, 2025, but notes it looks like a reupload and the original uploader is unclear. The caption "he tryna ignore it" was added in a TikTok post on January 3, 2026. During 2026 the clip spread to Reddit, X and Tenor, and the phrase was reused on other images and redraws as a way to describe someone deliberately not looking at a problem.
