Drake Hotline Bling Meme
The Drake Hotline Bling meme uses two frames of Drake from his music video: turning away in disgust on top, pointing happily on the bottom. Label each one with your own “no” and “yes” here and download it free, right in your browser.
What does the Drake Hotline Bling meme mean?
Drakeposting is a preference chart in two panels. In the top panel Drake turns away with his hand raised, so the text beside it is the thing being rejected. In the bottom panel he smiles and points, so that text is the preferred option. The humor usually comes from the preferred choice being worse, weirder, or way more specific than the sensible one, like picking a ridiculous workaround over the normal solution. Keep both labels parallel so the comparison reads instantly.
Where is the Drake Hotline Bling meme from?
The stills come from the music video for Drake's “Hotline Bling,” released on October 19, 2015, and directed by Director X; the single itself came out that July. Know Your Meme traces the rejecting and approving frames to 4chan, where users posted them as reaction images in late 2015, and a wave of “Drakeposting” spread across several 4chan boards in January 2016. From there the two-panel layout moved to Reddit, Twitter, and Instagram, where the simple “no to this, yes to that” structure made it a go-to comparison template. Later variants swapped Drake for cats, cartoon characters, and other figures in the same two poses.

Tips
- Rejected option on top, preferred option on the bottom. Flipping them confuses anyone who knows the format.
- Short labels (two to six words) fit the right-hand panels without shrinking the text too much.
- For a twist, make the bottom answer comically specific; the more niche it is, the funnier it reads.
